pooksma Posted July 4 #1 Share Posted July 4 (edited) First trip to the UK for a cruise. We are leaving from Dover. Train tickets are booked but curious if we can walk from the station to the port? I am seeing varied times-from 25 minutes to 45. Just don't want to miss the train back as we booked to depart before the 11AM rush. fruitmachine Posted July 4 #2 Share Posted July 4 This thread should help. It's 1.2 miles to the port gate, and the furthest berth is another 0.5 miles from there.
john watson Posted July 19 #3 Share Posted July 19 Walking takes 20 minutes. Taxi takes 2 minutes for around £12 to £15. Cruise ships normally attract taxi drivers as they know trade will be available. Regards John
davecttr Posted July 21 #4 Share Posted July 21 You could try booking a taxi before boarding to meet you when you disembark.
