Tampa port hotels 2025

Recommended Posts

Like most, do not know the area, trying to plan to arrive a day or 2 before the cruise in April. Looking for recommendations for accommodations. Cruise port shuttle ideal, I do not know which airport if PIE or TPA; at the mercy of Norwegian for that one but airport shuttle is also a nice perk but never opposed to Uber.

TIA

Lots of hotels in the Channelside area near TPA with nearby dining and shopping options.  More upscale IMHO is the Rocky Point area (we like Chase Suites), also close to TPA.  Taxi to the port the next day, if a shuttle is not offered, will run about $25+.

Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn by Hilton both have hotels in the Ybor City area of Tampa, just a few miles from the port. Both tend to fill-up quickly, especially if you're booking a weekend night. The booking window for next March has recently opened so you might want to check rates now. Ybor City and the port/aquarium area are directly connected with the TECO streetcar line.

Highly unlikely NCL will book you into PIE. Only Sun Country and Allegiant fly into that airport.

The Hampton also offered a free shuttle to the Port so between that and the trolley, it's easy access to the port area.
