Drinks Package upgrade for partial trip

Can anyone confirm or otherwise if you can still upgrade your drinks package towards the end of you cruise eg for the last couple of days?  I've seen mentioned on a couple of Facebook groups that you can no longer do an upgrade once you are past the halfway point of the cruise. TIA

We’ve done it for the last 2/3 days before.

Yes that's what we did last year but I'm now seeing people say you can't do it after half way.

We did so last year, too.

Where did you see people saying you can't do it after half-way?

Last year we upgraded with three days left but a "manager" had to approve it. We did a few cruises this year and they announced half way through each cruise that it was the last day to upgrade. Don't know if you could upgrade past that date with special approval.

By what means was this 'announced', please?

Best bet is to ask the F & B Manager when you get on board.

Yes will be doing that. Not a big issue either way but nice to look forward to some Whispering Angel on the last couple of days!

The cruise director mentioned it during the evening show. It was also in the daily sheet.

Thanks.

Since we very rarely attend evening shows, such an announcement would be wasted on us.

But if it is published in the 'Insider' I'll take note.

Which ship(s)?

IMHO this change of policy seems to be a retrograde step - it has been a convenient way of using surplus OBC at the end of a cruise.
