White Pass Railway & Yukon Expedition

I was looking at doing this excursion through NCL and wondered if anyone has done this exact one and what you thought. It is 8 1/4 hours long so I want to make sure it would be worth it. Thx!

Excellent tour and gets you into the Yukon Territory (will need to take your passport along for the ride).  Check out the White Pass R/R website for details or book with Alaska Shore Excursions to save a little $$. Enjoy

Do some more investigation.  We read many times that once past Fraser BC the best scenery is behind you.  
 

We ended up independently booking a van up and train back through Chilkoot Tours with Fraser BC as the turnaround and was able to see different views as the train up and back follows the same rails.
 

Definitely worth doing one way or another and you will need your passport no matter which option you choose.

I have done the Chilkoot Tour train up / bus down a couple of times which is about 4 hours and that was enough for me.  An eight hour train ride might  be a bit long.

 

We did the White Pass Train/Bus last year, and this year we did the White Pass Train/Suspension Bridge/Bus

i did this tour a few years ago. I enjoyed it. while it was time consuming, it went to emerald lake. there was also a stop where you could see sled dogs.
