Mymarina Bay Posted July 23 #1 Share Posted July 23 We are having to transfer a cruise next year and I quite fancy trying Iona to the Fjords. However before transferring our booking I am looking for some advice on standard balcony cabins. We are good sailors and prefer very quiet parts of a ship. I am looking at the front of Iona towards end of a corridor or forward facing cabins thinking decks 11, 12, 14 (steel fronted) (subject to availability). Has anyone stayed near the front and can you recommend any or do you know of any we should avoid towards the front?

SomersetS Posted July 23 #3 Share Posted July 23 We have stayed in 12107 twice and would choose it again. Very quiet, barely saw anyone in the corridors. Steel fronted balcony didn't bother us - we stood up to enjoy the views. It was a really good size and a great way to get a panoramic view as we travelled along the Fjords. Sofa was at the balcony end of the cabin which is the layout we prefer.

Saporitc Posted July 28 #5 Share Posted July 28 Just off Iona, cabin 12118, bed beside wardrobes, sofa beside balcony. Very quiet, would choose this cabin again
james95 Posted August 3 #6 Share Posted August 3 We did the fjords in Iona cabin 16235. Generally was lovely and fairly quiet, only thing was the next door neighbours had kids who were a bit noisy at times, so maybe use the deck plan to avoid being next to a cabin with additional beds.
