spongebob99a Posted July 24 #1 Share Posted July 24 Hi all… looking at booking next cruise in a Sky Suite. Noticed rooms showing ‘single’ sofa bed and ‘double’. Is there much difference between the two? It will be for our young son. We just came off a sailing in the Celebrity Suite and they put a mattress on top of the sofa for our son. So just wondering if it makes a difference which one we pick for the SS or I should base it on location I prefer. Thanks!

Literally a twin or double size. Perhaps I'm reading too much into your post, but you didn't say which ship you were on in the Celebrity suite. If you were on Ascent and pulled it out to look, you'll know what the double looks like as that's what they supply in all of the Celebrity suites there. Unless he's accustomed to a large bed and feels the need to wander in it at night, either should be fine ... depending upon what you mean by "young". spongebob99a Posted July 24 Author #4 Share Posted July 24 Thanks both. He’s 11 and about 5 feet. We were in the Celebrity suite on the Ascent. They didn’t need to do the pull out for him and simply put a mattress on top and it was comfortable! It was also good to not have to do the full pull out which gives more space in the room. I am sure that just using it as a single, with a topper, he would be very comfortable.
