lisaatric Posted July 24 #1 Share Posted July 24 Has anyone ventured to Caminito del Ray from the Malaga Port? I know there’s train service. Would love to hear others’ experiences!
Rare alserrod Posted July 26 #2 Share Posted July 26 Hello I have never been.... but I guess I am the only forumer who can ask some regional train questions here now Look for "El Chorro" station https://www.google.com/maps/place/Estación+de+tren+El+Chorro/@36.9072209,-4.759576,99m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0xd72be520210c107:0xf1a238da8506e1d0!8m2!3d36.907335!4d-4.759258!16s%2Fg%2F11b6cp5tb1?entry=ttu It is located 30 minutes away on foot from Caminito del rey south entrance. It seems there are two daily trains from Malaga 9:40 and 17:40 and returns 10:43 and 18:38 a single ticket barely costs 4,40 euro (20% discount if you buy a return ticket), it takes 55 minutes and you can get it even at Malaga Alameda (city centre) and Malaga Maria Zambrano (main station) Hint.... Caminito DEL REY (not "del ray". Rey means King)

There seem to be a good number of local tours to Caminito del Rey (🙂) originating from the port which is an option as well. Thank you again. I appreciate your response!
