I am so confused. What is the difference between Beaches Vallarta Bay and Secrets Vallarta Bay?

The pictures look identical, and the distance from the cruise port is identical.  We are looking into getting a day pass at one of them and there is a $10 difference, which is negligible, but I can't tell if they are actually the same place.  Has anyone ever been to either one?

AFAIK there's no "Beaches Vallarta Bay"...the name is "Dreams Vallarta Bay".

If you do some internet searches you'll find that both "Dreams" and "Secrets" are adjoining hotels on the same property, which is why the pictures of the hotels taken from the beach are identical. "Secrets" is the adults only side of the property and "Dreams" is the family friendly side. So if you want to avoid children, book the pass at "Secrets".

You are correct--it is Dreams Vallarta bay.  The fact that they are adjoining hotels makes perfect sense as to why they look alike.  I guess we just have to decide if the extra money is worth it to avoid children.  Thanks for your help!
