The Chacchoben ruins tour is pretty cool, but I'm not sure how well that fits the "chill out beachy vibe." 😉 You mention you've been there before, so you're probably familiar with what the port area itself has to offer. I rather enjoy hanging out there for an hour or so, watching the performers and browsing the shops--they tend to be less pushy there in my experience. And the pool looks quite nice too. 🙂

native choice costa maya ruins was the best narrated tour ive been on in over a dozen cruises. highly recommend that if you wanna learn . we booked direct. cheap and easier. simple walk to the booth out of the terminal. but i hate ports like that where its an narrow maze to get out but its how it is.
