SeaTeacher Posted March 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2006 Hello there, has anyone ever used BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to get to Pier 35 in San Francisco? I will be cruising on the Coral Princess in May, departing San Francisco's Pier 35. First off, you posted in the Pacfic Northwest room. San Fran is not in this region. However, I've traveled out of SF so I might be able to give you what you need. BART leaves SFO Airport. You can ride in all the way to Embarcadero station. Then you would have to transfer to the Muni F Line streetcars on the surface and pay another fare. The F line can drop you at Pier 35. Just make sure you take the streetcar going toward Fisherman's Warf (not to Castro). Definetely would be cheaper than a cab, and probably faster. But you'd have to carry your luggage along with you. If you travel light, that would not be a problem. There are folks with luggage on BART all the time. On the streecar, you have to lift luggage up the steps. Rollers would be no help there.
