Poppie55 Posted August 5 #1 Share Posted August 5 On the Riviera right now. For those asking in the past, the depth on this particular ship is 5’11”. Great to have on these hot days!
Redtravel Posted August 8 #2 Share Posted August 8 You cannot stand or walk in the pool. Would prefer a shallower pool to walk in. Oceania is good in warmer climates. For cooler places, I prefer a pool that can be covered.

Being 6'2" I can walk it, but others obviously can't. The smaller pools on the R-class ships really too small to swim much, esp. if others are in it. Even the bigger pools on the O-class ships are rather small, though you can swim in them. I wonder if there is something about the salt-water pool that makes O choose not to heat it. Odd to have an unheated pool on a cruise where the weather is cool. You see a... mostly empty pool nearly all the time with people out on loungers and pool chairs nearby. Techno123 Posted August 9 #4 Share Posted August 9 I like the concept of a deeper pool as it means people don't stand in the middle with their cocktails whilst I am trying to swim 😂
dock Posted August 9 #5 Share Posted August 9 Agree pool for me was too deep on Vista. Wouldn’t stand in it with my bevvie lol, but being a bit on the short side and not a good swimmer it was a bit of a downer in 38C plus weather. Maybe that was the goal of O lol. 1
