Rare Jetswdo Posted August 9 #1 Share Posted August 9 Hi- I just posted this on Princess site, but maybe someone on this site can be helpful--- I will be on a Princess cruise in Sept, and will be receiving a medallion with lanyard in the mail. Those of you who have travelled on Princess know what I am talking about. I just read somewhere that people who wear a pacemaker have problems with this. I am a diabetic and have attached to my arm Dexcom 7 monitor---- My question is: Have nay of you who wears a glucose monitor on their arm, and have sailed on Princess with the medallion, had any problems with Dexcom not working, or damaged, etc? Thanks for your responses.... Anita
kokopelli-az Posted August 9 #2 Share Posted August 9 I don't have personal experience with this, but here is what Princess says about the Medallion and medical devices that might be helpful: https://www.princess.com/en-us/ships-and-experience/princess-medallionclass/ocean-faq
Rare Jetswdo Posted August 9 Author #3 Share Posted August 9 I checked with Dexcom- got the usual vague answer- it may or may not work right with medallion, they really don't know- just to bring lancets and old fashioned monitor as back up, in case it doesn't work. It sure would be nice if I could get a straight answer. Dexcom attitude is that they will just replace the sensor, when I come back from cruise if there is a problem. I just would like to know what the story is from someone who has actually used Dexcom while using Princess Medallion.
qoap24 Posted September 13 #4 Share Posted September 13 My husband uses Dexcom and we just got off the Enchanted and he had no issues. But he might have been lucky.
