Nagivator - June 30, 2007 sailing - ship questions

Recommended Posts

Be sure the Navigator is still going where you want it to in 2007. I hear in mid 2007 she is heading over to Europe...so if that is your desired destination, you are in luck!

We have been on her once and will be again in six months, that is how much we loved it. The food, staff, entertainment, everything was beyond our expectations.

Best of luck for your graduation and happy cruising!

Fantastic ship and certainly not a bad choice. As previously mentioned, she will be sailing Europe in June of 2007. You may want to look at the Mariner of the Seas out of Port Canveral or may step it up one notch to the Freedom of the Seas.

I was simply trying to let the OP know of the changes in case they weren't aware. As you can see from my first post I even mentioned that if Europe was their destination of choice...they were in luck. Pardon my good intentions.

Oh, and your assumption about my intelligence was a classy touch.

Have a great day!

You will be at a loss to do everything that this great ship offers. From the Rock wall to the ice skating to inline skating to basketball, you will have your days full even if you don't get off the ship. If you're looking for affordable, the coolest insde rooms ever are the promenade rooms.

:( Yikes, didn't mean to start anything up. I thought was a fairly simple question. And, yes, I'm very well aware that the Navigator will be in Europe, (it's kind of the point of being something special such as a graduation gift.)

Anyhow, I'll get more specific and ask how young adults (18 year olds) like the ship. For example, is there enough for them to do? What is the age limit for the casino?

Things of that nature. Again, sorry, I didn't mean to start anyone getting into a battle of words and wits with each other :o

Hey Tiburon, I was reading the itinerary on the June Navigator cruise. It's a pretty interesting one. I may have to look at it myself for next year.

I think you will find that the Navigator and her sisters have more than any other class of ship when it comes for things to do for young people. Have you tried going to the http://www.rccl.com site and looking up the description of the Navigator. Lot of information there.

Now that's a SILLY QUESTION...........remember back when you were 18 yrs old...........did you find enough things to do wherever you were??? Yet alone on a ship where you could out-wit everyone ten times over just by getting as far away from the adults as you can!! :D

Of course I have friends who are in their 60's and they're still acting like 18 yr olds on cruises!! They're called the "YOUNG AT HEART GROUP"!! ;)

Now the drinking age thing could get quite interesting here..because......as you know yes normally for 18yr olds a waiver has to be signed to allow 18yr old to drink beer/wine BUT....on the Legend when she sailed from Southampton....this was NOT required.....at 18 yrs old they can drink legally without waiver......as in the UK 18 is the legal drinking age....so I am thinking that is how it will also be on the Navigator.

Once the new brochure comes out we will be able to check this out.:D

Hi San Fran Bay....I was just about to say the same thing about the drinking age....which is obviously younger in the UK and Europe. So it is possible 18 will be fine, without special permission. In fact we live in a very nice suburb of Derby, we would be really pleased to have the kids waiting until they are 18 to drink. There is a massive problem with very young underage drinking...so common... the police aren't bothered. but that's another story. I wish the age limit were 21 here as well.

Something I thought might be useful....I found A very good website with lots of information on ALL RC ships..so you can easily compare. There are reviews, photos, virtual tours on some ships, itineries, cabin and deck plans etc.. some info might be a bit dated....but you still get a good general idea of the various ships from the photos/ info given. It was a big help to us when we sailed on Legend of the Seas last year. The atmosphere and general appearance of the ship was accurate, even though some refurbishments had taken place since the photos were taken. check www.cruiseclues.com/shipstips/navigatoroftheseas.htm this will bring the navigator page up..with everything relating to it. Check along the left side menu, where there are listings of all cruise ships...just click on any name and the details will come up. Hope this helps, and hope you find the cruise you want and you all have a great time! I am taking my daughters (twins) this August on Legend of the Seas, to the Med. It is a present for their 21st birthday..and will be their first contact with any kind of ship. I can't wait! regards, carol
