timbom Posted August 22 #1 Share Posted August 22 Received an offer for 35% off and Casino Credit. After waiting two days for my casino consultant to call back I tried to purchase thru web sight. When everything added up it was more that what was selected totaled (program could not add). Called consultant number and got another agent who quoted correct price. Asked to have copy of quote so I could have my travel agent purchase and said they could not do that and my travel agent would have to call She did and got wrong price by several hundred dollars. Told her to cancel so next day I again called the casino department and after agent worked for over a half hour to get me a price I got my travel agent on phone and she was able to book. Just don't believe the casino department knows what they are doing. Beware of their specials???
memoak Posted August 22 #2 Share Posted August 22 Just get yourself a CVP they can get you the right deal. We almost always get 30-50% off on suites. The off shore casino department is not your best option

We had a deposit down on a suite before our bounce back offer came due and yesterday our CVP applied it and the price dropped by over $7,000. The so called cruise consultants are not Princess CVP’s they are a third party vendor who also run the future cruise department on board ships
flying fingers Posted August 23 #5 Share Posted August 23 I recently tried to book casino deals and non casino deals while on board and through PVP. Every time I had a lower price then they could find so ended up just booking online myself.

I have had one for years and I really don’t recall how I acquired mine. There is a CVP department at Princess Cruises just stay away from the so called Promotions group they do not work for Princess and will try and push an expensive hotel package

The off shore casino department is not your best option I noticed that discounts vary based on sailings--how do you go about finding which sailings have the best casino discounts on suites? Do you do that on the website before calling your CVP, or do you ask your CVP to find the best deals for you?
MacMadame Posted August 24 #9 Share Posted August 24 When I booked my cruise, I got an email that So-and-So was my CVP. So I think we all have one. Just most of us never use them for anything. Mine didn't answer my emails about refaring so I ended up just calling the CVP line and getting a random -- but super-helpful -- CVP. I am kicking myself for not getting their name. Anyway, recently I got a new email from a different CVP saying they are my new CVP. Hopefully, they are helpful when I ask for my $80 that I never got refunded from rebooking my excursions. 🤣
