steveso Posted August 27 #1 Share Posted August 27 (edited) Hi We are going on Virtuosa as our first MSC cruise in October to and from Southampton. We have been given and embarkation time of 15.00. Does anyone know how strict they are on this if we turned up at say 13.30? Edited August 27 by steveso spelling mistake

It's usually very slick ... the last twice, I've been through security and the terminal in 8 and 9 minutes. Make sure you have your passport and boarding letter to hand. That's all they need. Rare Ottawa_Cruiser Posted August 27 #3 Share Posted August 27 They assign times to control the crowd, however, with a later embarkation time like this it's fine to show up earlier. We sailed Virtuosa in May and from luggage drop to the time we stepped foot on the ship was 25 minutes. It was very smooth.
notley-cruise Posted August 28 #4 Share Posted August 28 If it's a 'Cruise from UK' with everyone disembarking and embarking at Southampton, then it can get very busy. Provided you are in the queue then you aren't getting left behind. Yacht Club has their own baggage drop tent and check-in desk. Aureau, Diamond and other priority guests have a priority check-in desk after baggage drop.

Question really is should we eat beforehand or will be able to get to the buffet at about 2 to 2.30. If it's later then we would eat something first!
