Day trip to Utila?

Has anyone done a day trip to Utila? The ferry times don't work but maybe a private boat? Is it safe? Any recommendations?

There is much discussion on the Roatan Facebook groups about its feasibility. Time may be your biggest enemy, most responses suggest staying at least one night.  Maybe post to one of the FB groups to get answers from locals and boat captains.

I realize that Utila may appear more laid back and less crowded than Roatan, but not sure there's anything you can really do on Utila that you can't do on Roatan. There's only 1 ferry each day each way, so why even bother?
