Marelin was the best - she had my cappuccino and double espresso waiting for me every morning as I arrived to work on my research paper (got a 4.0 in the course by the way!) and write up my review.  She also had a keen eye for when I was ready to switch over to a mimosa 🙂

@Best Cat Mom as you well know I am a big fan or reds.  However, you know how enthusiastic Rodin can be.

Tonight is Gala night and I will get into more on my review but wanted to make you miss us even more so here goes

Rodin just sweet talked me into this .. i am not normally a desert wine fan but this i liked.

You might want to ask him if he has a late harvest wine. It’s a red that would surprise you.

We talked old world and new world tonight .. I’ll try and remember late harvest.

Rodin is doing a wine tasting on the last sea day at 1100.  I told him to sign me up.  He came by the table later and said that the red he served me tonight was on the list for the tasting - I said that’s okay, he can substitute something else just for me as a joke.  I hope he did not take me serious.  He mentioned that it was too late to change.

He said the reason he was doing one was a lot of people had complained about the cost of the one the Wine Cellar holds so his is priced at $30 …

We are in the TSL and my DW is even with me tonight!  Usually she gets to the room after dinner and calls it a night.  Tonight we went shopping after dinner and she decided to join me in the lounge.

Tonight was gala night.

My DW started with French Onion Soup followed by the Wellness Salad

and I had the Escargo followed by the lobster bisque

Our sommelier, Rodin talked me into deviating from my usual Champagne / Red wine regimen and brought me a very nice Chardonnay

it went very well with the snails and the bisque.

For our main courses my DW had the beef tenderloin and I had the surf and turf.

I had talked wiih Suzette, our waiter at breakfast and asked for rice for my wife.

Rodin paired my surf and turf with a nice Bordeaux- it was delicious

For her dessert my wife decided she was having only the vanilla ice cream.  I splurged and went with the crepe Suzette

Rodin stopped by as we were finishing our dessert and offered a dessert wine.  I noamally do not partake but have a difficult time saying no to him.

I am glad I listened to him.

Now to put my phone down relax and listen to Bernard.
