Ambassador vs CMV

Hi Team, did you ever cruise with 'Cruise and Maritime Voyages'?  How Ambassador compare? I used to love the Marco Polo.

 

Here are my personal thoughts on how the two line s compare:

Has nobody here cruised with CMV?

I did one with CMV (42 days to Amazon on Magellan). I have done several on Ambassador (and have 2 more booked).

 

Ambassador are superior in every respect to CMV.

 

Magellan stank of fuel oil and exhaust fumes. The food was good to OK (towards the end of the cruise, lunch in the buffet was "guess the sauce with chicken drumsticks").

 

Ambassador's food and service are way ahead of CMV's.

 

Value for money is probably a wash - overall experience is a clear win for Ambassador IMHO.
