How early should or can i safely book a flight after a 7 am cruise arrival?

How early should, or can, i safely book a flight after a 7 am cruise arrival on the Koningsdam? Is 10:15 am  possible. we will be in a suite so we can get off early but not sure when the ship is normally cleared.

That was dumb. It is a 7 am arrival in San Diego. 🤪

The ship "should" be cleared by about 7:30... you need to be lined up for walkoff much earlier though.  Provided you have all of your luggage with you and taxi to the airport (nearby), have TSA Pre, a 10:15 flight is doable.  Tight, but doable.  Do not dawdle!

We both have Clear and we do go through an airport fairly quickly, but then again things can happen. The only requirement that I  know of, is if you are checking bags and they must be checked  45 minutes before your scheduled departure.

Short answer, I wouldn't book anything before 1130-1200 hrs.  CLEAR will help but only if flying out of Terminal 2.  At times, TSA pre is longer than the regular lanes.  San Diego airport is a mess currently with all the construction.  You might check the airport www site for recommendations.  Some depends on if there are any other ships disembarking.  We were at the airport one morning when two ships disembarked and the security lines were outside on the sidewalk.  Security inside the terminal is disjointed depending on which terminal and even which gate you are using.  There's no one security check point but several separate ones depending on your gate.

The airport is only 2 1/2 miles, but I still would not book before 11AM. 10:15AM is pretty aggressive.
