I was in that medical center twice over my Easter Venezia cruise. Fractured 6 ribs on the left and 7 on the right and my sternum. Place is pretty “primitive.” Nothing like the medical center on TV’s Dr Odyssey! 🙄🤔😁

Geez Karry! How did you manage that? Sorry to bring up that painful memory. :classic_ohmy:

I agree the medical center is nothing like what we see on tv but I have to praise the medical staff for all they did while we were on the Vista this past May. My husband became very ill very fast. Without warning he went from not feeling good during the day to becoming critical that night. I can't say enough about the care we received! Unfortunately we had to leave the ship and he was in ICU for 5 days. Carnival was so supportive and did everything they could to help him and I. Thankfully all ended well. His care at the hospital was great. We were in the DR. (Amber Cove) So to say the medical area is primitive, yes it may be, but the doctors and nurses are outstanding! That was our first and hopefully the last time we need them!

What a great story! Thanks for sharing it with us. Glad that everything turned out okay. We've only had to use the Medical Center a couple of times over the years, and never for something that critical, but the doctors and nurses were wonderful. :classic_cool:

I can’t imagine how scary and awful that must have been.  Glad your husband received such excellent care and that he has recovered.

Been a Yankee fan since I was old enough to walk and talk! My dads company had season loge seat tickets and I’ve been going to games since I was a little girl! My DH was brought up in the Bronx also. Moved to my

town when we were in 10th grade and we went to school together and whole family LOVES our Yankees. 👍👍

We got off the ship Friday October 4th. Sunday I started with a sore throat. Quickly turned into a head cold. I always seem to get sick after flying. I wore a mask on the flight there but never did after that . I hope as your story continues, it doesn’t turn into much.

How about that, small world. Did you guys already book the Del Mar Latino? We may be interested. 😎

Hi Jeff. We are planning on booking the Del Mar Latino for an upcoming cruise next year. There will be five adults and one has a food allergy (gluten).  We like that we can walk there from the pier. (Margaritaville Islander). We have watched YouTube videos and it looks very nice. Have you been there before?  We would love to hear what you think. Last time we did Cozumel we went to Paradise Beach which we really liked. This time we just don’t want to have to take a taxi. Thank you to you and Patti for your wonderful reviews.

Hey Wini, thanks for reading! We've never been to Del Mar  Latino, so we are anxious to try it out. We also love Paradise Beach and will be going there as well next year. We will be in Cozumel three times next year. 😎
