This way to the Skywalk that will take us across the street to the building where Rocky’s Sports Bar is……

 

 

However, the Skywalk is closed due to construction so we’ll have to go outside and cross the street…..

 

 

 

 

We were finally able to find the entrance to the building and head over to Rocky’s…..

 

 

 

 

I have my beer so Patti’s going to head to the City Market…..

 

 

On her way Patti finds the Sculpture People that used to be outside of Market Square, but were displaced by all of the construction……

Patti heads back to Rocky’s Sports Bar…..

 

 

 

 

We have some drinks and order lunch. Patti orders a club sandwich and fries. I ordered fried pepperoni and the cheeseburger poutine. Everything was excellent! Sorry we forgot to take pictures.

 

Afterwards we made our way back to the ship. The curved building on the right is where Rocky’s Sports Bar is located, up on the third floor…..

After walking around the Waterfront Container Village for a while, we made our way back on board. Back at the cabin we found today’s towel creature hanging around…..

 

 

The laundry that Patti sent out yesterday has been returned…..

 

 

 

At 5pm Captain Pennisi and crew pushed the Venezia away from the pier…..

You didn't take a picture of the fried pepperoni? It was (and still is) on my "local to eat" list.

 

And they kicked my boyfriend, Mr. St. Johns to outside?  

 

Seriously, the waterfront has changed in the last year.

Even though I live in Ontario, I was born in New Brunswick so it's required by my birthright to always point out this city is Saint John, not St Johns lol.

No, we had a lapse and didn't remember to take pictures. Sorry.

 

As for your boyfriend Mr. Saint John, He used to live outside, but they moved all of the Sculpture People inside when they began the construction. Hopefully Mr. Saint John and friends will be moved back outside.

Patti catches me dozing. The cruise crud, along with the meds I’m taking to combat it, are making me sleepy….

 

 

We are now approaching and passing Partridge Island and the lighthouse…..

The Norwegian Breakaway is now sailing away from Saint John……

 

 

 

The Pilot Boat is heading out to the Venezia. It took several tries to get close enough to the ship to pick up the Pilot, but eventually they were successful…..

We were treated to a very pretty sunset…..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Norwegian Breakaway has almost caught up to us…..

 

 

A little before 7pm we head down to the Teatro Rosso for Deal or No Deal. As we pass through the Piazza San Marco, we see Francisco play some cocktail tunes on the piano…..

 

 

We have our favorite seats, drinks, and our cards. Here is some Deal or No Deal info, including a new way to play by using your phone…..

Clare from the Fun Squad comes on stage and says that it’s time for Deal or No Deal…….

 

 

Once again the host for the show is Junior from the Fun Squad. Once again he does not do a good job in this role. He is just boring and repetitive. The first contestant is Markeyta, who doesn’t help the situation. It takes her forever to pick each case. Patti had to poke me several times to keep me awake…..

 

 

 

Even though Markeyta knocked out the $1000 case fairly early, she kept most of the higher money cases in play, and smartly took the Bankers offer of $175.

 

 

 

 

The next contestant was Suzanne, who started off pretty good and was getting some good offers…..

 

 

 

 

But in the next couple of rounds she knocked out all the high cases and it was all downhill from there. She took it all the way to the end and won a penny!

 

 

 

 

 

We wound up winning $30 in casino free play. I couldn’t keep my eyes open any more so I made my way back to the cabin.

Day # 14 – (September 13th)  -  Fun Day at Sea # 6. 

 

We were up at 7am to a sunny and cool day. The seas are calm…..

For the last time this cruise I head up to Java Blue for my morning coffee, and then back to the cabin to work on pictures. Around 9:15am we head down to the Teatro Rosso for “The Wave” morning show……

 

 

Today it’s Dave & Lisa Marie from the Fun Squad, CD Lee Mason, and Honest from the Fun Shops……

After Honest leaves, Sam joins the gang onstage until the show is over…..

 

 

 

 

 

Afterwards, I head to the Lobby Bar for some Bloody Marys…..

 

 

 

Patti peeks into the Thing 1 & Thing 2 Birthday Breakfast…..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Patti heads back to the cabin to begin her packing. Jason has left his final towel creation…..

 

 

I head to the casino to pick up the $30 in free play from Deal and No Deal, and then head over to the Non Smoking Casino to play some blackjack. I played for a couple of hours losing a couple of hundred, but still was up quite a bit for the cruise.

 

I’m hungry for some lunch, so I head up to the Seafood Shack where they are serving Asian food. I get a big plate and then head over to the Burano Pool Bar where I order a Cruiser to wash it down.

At 3pm I met Patti at the Teatro Rosso for Cruise Director Lee Mason’s Q & A…..

 

 

 

 

 

 

Afterwards, Patti stayed for the $5000 Jackpot Bingo. I made my way back to the cabin to begin my packing. The seas are still very calm…..

 

 

Patti didn’t have any luck at bingo. She made her way back to the cabin to relax. Not surprisingly, she seems to be coming down with the cruise crud as well. This is her duck collection from this cruise……

Patti’s not leaving the cabin tonight. At 7pm I make my way to the Limelight Lounge for a PG Comedy Showcase starring John Knight and Merl Hobbs……  

 

 

Comedy Club Host Lisa Marie is getting the show started. This is going to be her last show as she is leaving the ship to go on vacation tomorrow. She did a great job. Clare will be taking over as Comedy Club Host starting with the next show later tonight…..

Now it is Merl Hobbs turn…….

 

 

 

 

 

 

Both comedians were very good. On my way back to the cabin I passed through the Atrium where Impromptwo were playing…….

 

 

 

Back at the cabin we put out our luggage to be picked up. We had barely got the suitcases out in the hallway when they came and swooped them up. We didn’t even get a chance to take the sad suitcase pictures!

Day # 14 – (September 14th)  -  Debarkation Day. 

 

We were up at 5:30am to watch us sail into the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. The television is telling us that we’ll have to get off……

We were docked by 6:20am. Here are the final views from our balcony…..

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Diamond self-assist passengers were off at 6:55am…..

 

 

We say goodbye to our cabin steward Jason. He did a great job for us the last two weeks…..

 

 

We left the cabin at 7:20am to head to the Marco Polo Restaurant for our 8am meet up. We saw Lee Mason and said our goodbyes. We had just sat down when Lee came in the restaurant and said that our luggage was out and waiting for us, and that we could leave.

 

By 8am we had found our luggage, which by some miracle was all together, and grabbed a porter. We went through the facial recognition, and then the porter took us out to street level by Pier 90, which would make for an easy pick-up. Patti took these two views of the Venezia along the way…..

 

 

 

Ryan arrived ten minutes later. We loaded up the car and took off. We were in the Lincoln tunnel by 8:30am. After coming out, Patti took this last picture of the Venezia from the New Jersey side of the Hudson River….

 

 

We were back at home in Somerset, New Jersey by 9:19am, another two cruises completed. THE END !!!
