Island Princess - Condition AFTER September, 2024 Refurb?

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far.  A bit nervous about our cruise in January, reading some of the comments posted here and elsewhere, but we are sticking with our plans so far and also will report back on what we find.

As I said in this string and others, don't be nervous.  It's a clean, well-run ship with excellent food and top-notch service staff.

Staff shared that many seats in the rear of the Princess Theater were removed during drydock to expand room for wheelchairs. Also the stairs into, out of PT were removed and replaced with ramp for ADA access. PT stage floor was upgraded.

 

We are in an aft cabin. No sewage smell of any kind, no noise issues either. A/c working fine, we just kick the heavy comforter off the bed at night if we get too warm while sleeping. Vacuum toilet system working just fine.

FWIW - In January 2024, a new MUTS screen was installed, along with new washers and dryers.

DH and I have found the Amuleto section of the Horizon Court to be a good substitute for a separate IC. Yummy crafted sandwiches, delicious desserts and an offering of lattes and capuchino are available every day.
