On September 25 I booked a OV GTY, today I received a email stating  Reissue reason : Cruise - Cabin change Upgrade - Category upgrade and MSC issued my cabin number. I was thinking it would be a balcony, but the cabin is still a OV. Is a balcony in my future?

For example OV on deck 10 is already an upgrade from deck 5. Same as other lines.

Yes I agree, I did a mock booking and only deck 5 was available and that's what I received.

MSC really needs to get better at getting people excited about these free upgrades. When I got upgraded, I almost missed it. They need to do a better job marketing themselves.

I think I understand the upgrade by reading the fine print on the MSC web page.  I booked a Bella OV GTY and was assigned a Fantastica Cabin. Thats it, just the cabin but none of the Fantastica benefits. 😃
