I have a bunch of coupons from our book that we did not use as well as a bunch from the casino booklet we got on board. If anyone wants them let me know. i will give you my address and you can send me a SASE and I will put them all in there.

Some of the coupons are only good on certain ships. I tried to use one of the photo shop coupons last week on the GEM and it wasn't good on the GEM....so I ended up using another coupon from the book and saved 20% on a $100 purchase of pictures.

I am scheduled to go on a cruise in Dec 06' and am supposed to get one of these books when I board, can you tell me what the coupons are actually for? What kind of savings?

We had use of one from a friend on our very recent STAR sailing. Only coupons we used: Buy 2 dinners at Le Bistro and get 1 dinner free at the TexMex restaurant ($10. value) and the $10 worth of free slot promo play w/ specialty restaurant cover charge receipt. We were not interested in any of the other coupons so gave the rest away at our Meet & Greet. We had originally been promised one from our TA, but when we qualified for some onboard credit they took away our coupon book option so we never got one from them.

By the way: Coupons for NORWEGIAN SKY were avaialable for download on NCL's website.

 

Some coupons were limited to two ships but few pages later there were coupons which were only valid on the two ships.

We had originally been promised one from our TA, but when we qualified for some onboard credit they took away our coupon book option so we never got one from them.

 

We had OBC and the coupon book.

 

But anyway: it does not hurt NCL too much 85-90% of savings are from the subcontractor onboard: photographers, shops, casino, internetcafé, spa. Only very few are related to consumption of food or other services of NCL itself.

 

Our TA promised us for Celebrity, Holland America and Princess as well. Let's see...

The coupon book I received last month was pretty much worthless. They were mostly stuff like 20% off of TWO spa treatments or 30% of off three treatments, or 20% off of picture purchases over $200 and stuff like that.

 

I threw it away before we left.

Can you post a link to the coupons for the SKY? I looked all over their website and cannot find the link to the booklet. We are booked for the 1/18/10 sailing.

I'm sure some of the coupons are useful to some, but to others like myself & blindrid, they are worthless.

You have to get it from your TA... or from whomever you booked through. Typically, you have to negotiate for it right up front when you're making the reservation, just like with OBC. However, sometimes you can talk them into sending you one even if you didn't get it up front... it all depends on the deal you're booking - I think they leverage price, coupons and OBCs at different times for different reasons/promotions.

 

That said, looks like there are many folks who aren't using theirs and are willing to send it to others... and, don't laugh, but I've also seen them on eBay!!
