coronawomen Posted March 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2006  Can anyone tell me how Cancun is doing in their rebuilding stages? I turn 40 in April '07, and it has been 10 yrs. since I've been to Cancun. Told the hubby this is where I want to be for my 40th. Loved the Cancun Palace (which I heard is now all inclusive) which is great. I know they are totally rebuilding and are due to open at Christmas time. Anyone been to Cancun resently and can tell me how it looks months after the hurricane? How are the beaches, heard they were pretty much gone? Please help, any info. is greatly appreciated and the hubby wants to know details before I book. Thanks all.......

mapchick Posted April 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2006 Cancun is doing very well recovering from the hurricane, there is a major beach restoration project going on now and the beaches are looking much better, many hotels, restaurants and clubs open and ready for business :) Honestly, if you have never been to Cancun or haven't been for awhile you may nto even notice there was a hurricane.
