Cinderellie Posted June 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Hello, we are sailing on the Conquest on 8/29 -- a family of 4 on a budget -- and looking for a wow, fun excursion or activity while in Cozumel. We have done the dolphin thing before, so not that. What else is wonderful for a 10 year old girl and 14 year old boy? Yet is affordable for a family of 4? (And a husband who doesn't swim, but will snorkle in shallow water.) We will be doing river tubing in Jamaica, Stingray City tour in Grand Cayman before then. What would you suggest to complete our crise in Cozumel? Thanks! palmtre2 Posted June 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2004 We did the Atlantis submarine excursion, I wouldn't say it's inexpensive but it certainly is wow, and you can save $$ by booking directly at atlantisadventures.com. It's within walking distance of the pier. We did an early tour then took a cab($12) to Paradise/San Franciso beach(free to enter, chairs cost) and snorkeled off the beach. Cotton Posted June 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Hi. I've been to Chankanaab a coupla times, and loved it. However, I'm planning on going to Paradise Beach on my next cruise. At the present time, there's no entry fee, just the $12 cab fare for the four of you. PB sounds wonderful, with ideal things for your two young ones to do. Floating 'iceberg' to climb, lots of rafts/water toys at no charge. There is food and drink available at (I understand) very reasonable charges. You might want to check out the Ports-of-Call board and go to Cozumel to check out Paradise Beach. Lots of rave reviews. "Laissez les bon temps rouler!" deeinms Posted June 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2004 During our visit Memorial Weekend, we did Paradise Beach on our own with three teens and a 10year old. They had a blast. My DS-10 loved the free kayaks. Very reasonable !!

1tonysmom Posted June 24, 2004 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2004 My sister and her family did a cruise over springbreak and did the Sea Lion swim at Chankanaab park for $59 pp. She just raved about it. Said it was better than the dolphins and a lot less. :D Joanne
sea_u_onboard Posted June 25, 2004 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Go to Mr. Sanchos for the price of the taxi. We've been there twice and will probably go there next time. It's free and they have showers, food, drinks, etc.... Check out there site at www.mrsanchos.com
