HAL secrets they usually don't tell you about

I got this idea from another board and thought it would be fun....

 

Tell us your HAL cruise secrets. Info that is not normally given out by HAL. Things you can get just for asking that are not advertised.

 

For example, some cruiselines have certain food items always available but, are not on the menu. (You can always get steak on Carnival)

 

I will be going on my first HAL cruise and want to know all the secrets.

I will go first. DS loves shrimp cocktail - the first night of our last cruise it wasn't on the menu. He asked if it would be possible to get one. Our server said he would try, the shrimp cocktail arrived with all the other first course items. DS was very pleased!!!

Every other night of the cruise a shrimp cocktail was waiting for DS at the table when we walked into the dining room.

I know that is not a huge item, but our server went out of his way to please our son.

Someone beat you to it. :) There is a thread called Hal's Secrets that is currently on page 4 that has 210 posts on this same subject. I am sure you will find lots of information in this thread.
