What's the best way to just go to the beach from the ship without renting a car?

Taxi or the Bus. There is a taxi stand at the Aloha Tower (port) and the bus runs a line down the main road from the tower to Waikiki.

Thank you for the information. We are not interested in driving around on the islands. We've done that when we stayed there, but just for the day, I'd really like to go to the beach.
