By the way - do you put the milk in the cup first, or after the tea is made?

 

If you make the tea in a pot using leaves then you should MIF (milk in first).

 

If you make the tea in a cup using a bag you should MIL (milk in last).

 

By the way, in my opinion dunking is 'de rigeur!'

 

Mornings I might favour a digestive.

Afternoons, maybe a rich tea.

Afternoon tea - it's got to be ginger nuts.

Special occasions - shortbread.

 

I'd love to have tea with any of you cultured people!

Dunking? How dare you!! So non-U!!! Insult to this site!! You are hereby fined one Liptons tea bag!! Of course I don't dunk - but if I did I would dunk only digestives!! And I would make sure the tea wasn't so hot that the biscuit immediately collapsed into the tea and had to be fished out in a very non-ladylike manner!!

 

Unfortunately, the reason I don't dunk at the moment is that the digestives here are .............not nice!! The exorbitant price of imported British biccies at Publix would affect my ability to cruise!!!

The Lipton's Earl Grey is disgusting it has a very perfumy taste, as opposed to the flavour of Bergamont.

 

On the subject of dunking it has to be rich tea or digestive
