Help Speedys or NCL to VG Baths?

We are in port from 7:00am-3:00 pm. Speedy's offers ferry sevice from Tortola at 9:00 am and returns from the Baths at 12:30 pm. Do you think this is cutting it too close to get back to the ship in time? Would it be smarter to book through the ship which leaves at 7:30 am and is listed as 4 1/2 hrs long, but costs double what it would if we did it on our own? This is our 1st time to Tortola and to the Baths.

Thanks for any advice.

The ferry takes about 30 minutes to VG, transfer to the shuttle jitney, get to the baths, and walk to the beach about 20 minutes more,so you should be at the Baths by !0:00 am. Leave the Baths at 12:00 to make the 12:30 ferry with time to spare and you're back on the dock in Tortola at 1:00 pm. Remember the NCL tour has the ferry/shuttle time built into it also, so the 4.5 hr tour also has almost two hours of travel time. Should be comfortable taking the private tour and saving the $$ with time to spare. Enjoy

We took Speedy's over at 9:00, got a taxi for $4pp to the Baths. Then took Smith's ferry back at 2:15. This allowed plenty of time as it does get crowded inside the Baths, plus swim time and a drink at the restaurant/bar at the top. :)
