Is she still a floating FEMA hotel in New Orleans? The SP website is very unhelpful; I don't think it's been updated since last year.

 

Also, is there any ferry service between Portland (or anywhere in New England) and Nova Scotia now? Or between Florida and Mexico?

As stated on the scotia prince web site, they have ceased operations in Portland due to the mold problem in the terminal.

 

There is a ferry that departs from bar harbor to nova scotia. It is The Cat. It is a high speed catamaran that makes the trip in just a few hours. There is talk that the cat will eventually either move its operations or sail out of portland in additon to sailing out of bar harbor.

The CAT this summer has changed their hours for Bar Harbor, they will only be leaving from Bar Harbor during the week on certain days and the weekends will be for leaving out of Portland. Go to www.tripadvisor into the Maine section and put in Bar Harbor ferry there has been alot of discussion about this, this year already. Also the newspaper MDIslander online has had articles about this. This should help.
