Splinter Posted April 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2006 On HAL there are two classes of accessible cabins. The fully wheelchair accessible cabins have a wide enough door for a wheelchair or scooter, more space in the cabin, a level or ramped bathroom with a roll-in shower. The other "accessible" cabins are significantly smaller, do not necessarily have a wider door, and have both a step up to the bathroom (usually 5") and either a stall shower or tub with grab bars. If you have a scooter, you need the fully accessible cabin type as you cannot leave your scooter outside the cabin in the hallway. Call HAL special services about this cabin if you have more specific questions.
