unity candle and guestbook????

is anyone bringing their own unity candle. We are doing the lighting of the candle and wasnt' sure if should or need to bring our own. Did anyone bring a guest book to sign if so where did u put it out.

We are bringing our own guest book, Carnival does not allow us to bring our own candle. They said they will provide one for us. You didn't say which cruise line you were with. It might be different for other cruise lines.

We brought a guest book but forgot to use it! Opps! There was so much excitement, oh well! :)

My daughter was married on Celebrity last December. We brought our own guestbook AND unity candle (complete with flowers, etc. surrounding the holder)....no problem. So...I guess each line has its own rules.

We are bringing our own guest book, well it's actually a picture frame that your guests sign. But I think we will just use their candle that they provide. ;)

Has anyone done a sand ceremony in lieu of lighting the unity candle? (FYI....Instead of using two candles to light one candle, the bride and groom each have a container of sand that they pour simultaneously into a larger container/vessel/bottle.)

We haven't yet, but are planning on doing a sand ceremony. Fi and I met 2 months into our freshman year, so we are using pilsner glasses from our alma mater and sand in our school colors, and pouring the sand into a glass heart shaped container. Post wedding, the glasses will become our official "game-day" glasses, and the heart sculpture will be a focal point on our mantel!!!
