Marcys Posted April 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I've been watching for months and I have not seen the BOB (breathing observation bubble) excursion appear on their website. When I e-mailed Carnival, they said I had to sign up on board. Does this mean it's sold out. We sail June 18 and I've been watching their excursion for months. New excursions have appeared, but not this one. Just wondering if I should make other plans for St. Thomas.
tempo8247 Posted May 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2006 Excursion on my cruise. It was wonderful!!! The Capt. Bill and his crew were great and very attentive when you are on BOB. You get to snorkle before or after your turn on the apparatus. I had a blast. I booked online. It was visible on Carnival when I went to book excursions. The Islander Posted May 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2006 You might contact BOB to ask about it as well; http://www.bobusvi.com. --Islander *****

swom Posted May 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2006 Does anyone know how much this costs if you book directly through the BOB site instead of the ship? It's 119.00 thru the ship I will be on and I'm sure it's a lot cheaper going directly with the company, so I'd like to know the price. Thanks! So looking at your pictures, you also got to snorkel?? Is this standard on the BOB excursion? Doing the underwater thing and snorkeling? I'd love to do both......... Thanks in advance. The Islander Posted May 15, 2006 #7 Share Posted May 15, 2006 Hello Vawoods, I don't know that you can sign up directly with BOB, I think the ships keep them booked. You can email them and check though. And yes since a few people go out BOBing each time the others on the trip can snorkel or hang out on the boat. --Islander *****

I just started a new thread because no one had answered me. LOL
The Islander Posted May 16, 2006 #9 Share Posted May 16, 2006 Yes you can BOB and snorkel. Everyone on the trip goes out on a boat to the BOB/Snorkeling spot, once there a few people go out and BOB while the others wait their turn. While waiting you can snorkel or just hang out on the boat. When those BOBing return the next few people go out. --Islander http://www.*****
