credit cards on conquest/cash deposits

curious question...i have always used cash deposit. (i had bad experience with credit card once on a ship so i am paranoid)

 

we are leaving 4/16. i will put my deposit down but should i decide to spend more (? hhhmmm) can i put my credit card down later or get a cash advance or something? how does that work? what kind of hold do they put on your card......we only put so much in our account for our card because it is a debit/credit card.....i was just wondering.

One of many posts, if you get low, they will come find you, yes, you can always add, cash, credit or anything to the account...
