Miami Hotels HELP

I am trying to book a hotel in Miami for one night pre-cruise and 2 nights after and they all seem to be booked. Have stayed before near Bayside Marketplace and really liked the area. Is it possible they are all really booked? Oh by the way the dates are for January of 2007. Any suggestions?

isn't that the Superbowl issue/problem??? I remember others posting on it before- whole town booked up already???

I started looking several months ago when I found out about the supper bowl. I ended up in Miami but away from downtown. Checked hotel reviews on http://www.tripadvisor.com/ before I made reservations.
