mco Posted April 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2006  My husband and I are looking to book a Bermuda Trip this May on the Zenith. We have narowed it down to two cabins but for the life of us, can't figure out all the symbols. Here is the legend celebrity has on their website. The cabin we are interested in #6005 has a black diamond symbol. Does anyone know what that means? We can't find it anywhere. Most cabins have a clear circle- don't know what that means either. We just want to make sure we are not selecting a cabin with some kind of problem. Thanks for your help, it's driving us crazy this little symbol. templed Posted April 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2006 One diamond means that it has one pullman bed in addition to the queen sized bed thats already in the room....... (for a 3rd person if need be)

I have found a wealth of information here and everyone has been helpful. That said...I've cruised Zenith 2x and will be cruising her again in June. mariloum Posted April 12, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2006 Some of the cabins on the Zenith have double beds. Make sure you ask before you book. Marilou

mco Posted April 12, 2006 Author #9 Share Posted April 12, 2006 Hi BrooklynGirl2, I have another question. We have cruised before (many years ago) and we always had to pay for refreshments. We don't drink alcohol but soda, juice etc. I remember paying like $3.00 for each soda. Is it still that way? Do you know if we have other options at dinner other than water that would not cost us. Seems silly but the amount of soda we would be charged would pay for an excursion. I have never been on the Zenith. We had sailed on the Horizon and found it a great ship. Any tips you have on the Zenith would be great. Thanks again!
BrooklynGirl2 Posted April 13, 2006 #10 Share Posted April 13, 2006 You can buy a soda card for $5 day for the week. You can then have fountain soda. I did not do this. At dinner we drank water and wine. During the day we drank lemonade, punch and apple juice which was all free. I've read on the Boards where people will bring some cans of their own soda on board but I have never done that.
adegner Posted April 13, 2006 #11 Share Posted April 13, 2006 Iced tea and milk and coffee are free. Also, we make sure to ask for juice - such as pineapple or Tomato. Also try the hot teas and hot chocaolate for free.
momto2 Posted April 15, 2006 #12 Share Posted April 15, 2006 Would any on you know if Zenith has connecting cabins? We are traveling with a 12 and 15 yo and this option worked great for us on Disney last Thanksgiving. TIA!
Nibby1 Posted April 15, 2006 #13 Share Posted April 15, 2006 Yes, Zenith has connecting cabins; some on each floor. If you will look on Celebrity's web site, and then the Zenith deck plans, you will see them marked.
w99flash Posted April 16, 2006 #14 Share Posted April 16, 2006 Just returned from Zenith, we were in cabin 6008, foreward porthole cabin with double bed, very nice. The double bed didn't bother us, and it made the floor space seem really big.Have a great cruise, it's a WONDERFUL ship!
