boats/snorkel

Most of the dive shops in Playa do snorkel boat tours also, but I don't know of anyone that has a catamaran like the Fat Cat.

For example: Tank-Ha Dive Center has a tour for $30.00 per person, their website is http://www.tankha.com

These are tours in smaller boats, and the emphasis is more on snorkeling than a party boat type atmosphere like Fat Cat.

If you do a search online for Playa del Carmen dive shops, you'll find several.

thanks mapchick, i,ll do that. i know alot of people go out with divers and snorkel while they dive. not so crowded either. maybe i should dive, my sinus's prevent me going down very far. but it is still great as long as i can see the beauty!! plus, have to be careful when we go out with first timers...they will kick u right in the face, i always wait til they r all in or ask the crew if i can go in off the back! yikes..
