Using RCCL VISA points while booking onboard?

Recommended Posts

Well good news is we finally have enough points for the free cruise from RCCL VISA. We would like to book onboard during our next cruise and get the onboard credit and still apply our free cruise to this booking. Has anyone ever done this or had similar experience.

Should we contact RCCL VISA first or after making the reservation. I know per the rules we are entitled to an Ocenaview room for a Western Carribean 7 day cruise. Also was planning to do it for Freedom in June, 2007.

Any input or comments would be great.

First you contact the bank. They will send you a voucher. Then you have like 90 days to use that voucher. I am sure you can book onboard then send the voucher to RCCL and they would refund your deposit.

We are sailing in 30 days using the points for a 4 night Bahama cruise.

We paid $55.52 for taxes and fees.

Even though you are getting the cruise for free you may want to get some insurance if you miss the boat.

Have a great time
