ElBano Posted April 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2006 Is the 4-1/2 to 5-1/2 hour tour with Peat Taylor worth the $40? Also, if someone in our group only wants to do Dunn's River Falls will he drop those people off somewhere and then proceed on with the others to the rest of the tour of Fern Gully, etc.? Thanks! scubalisa Posted April 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2006 Absolutely! We are normally very careful with money, and we thought it was worth every dime. Peat is great, and remember, your ticket to Dunn's River Falls will be covered in the price. Also, we got to see parts of Jamaica we would not otherwise see. The day we were there Peat was doing at least two tours. While he dropped us off at Dunn's River Falls for two hours he was taking another group around. By the end of the day half of our group wanted to shop and the other half wanted to go to Margaritaville. He dropped us off for shopping and picked us up an hour or so later, meanwhile driving the other to Margaritaville. He is extremely flexible as seems to be their way of life. You won't be disappointed.
TheWog Posted May 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2006 We got lucky and were the only 4 people in his van on our day. He will do whatever you request. Some can do the tour, others can be dropped somewhere.
momtorres Posted May 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2006 I think Peat has two prices - he quoted us $40 originally and then resent the email confirmation apologizing for his error and said the cost would be $35 pp. This is an incredible deal in my estimation. Includes entrace to the Dunns Falls, which is $15. He takes you through the countryside, serenades you, asks if there is anything specific you want to go see. He basically makes himself available for at least 4 hours. Here is Peat's son Oneal who accompanies his father on many tours in front of the 20 passenger van they use.
