Fourth of July in Tampa

We are staying in Tampa precruise at the Sailport Inn. It is located on the beach, I believe. Any good suggestions for fireworks? I LOVE fireworks.

I have the exact same question, only four years later! Our cruise will leave on July 5th, so we thought it would be great to watch Independence Day fireworks in Tampa. My DH seems to think there is supposed to be a huge fireworks display at the Bay, but we haven't found any information about it. If anyone is familiar with it, can you please recommend hotels that might be in the correct area for the festivities?
