Washing/ Drying Machine?

Does anyone know if there's any washing & drying machine on the river cruise ship? Thank you.

Usually riverboats do not have a self service laundry for passengers. Some are offering a laundry service. But there are a few ships offering a self service laundry. Uniworld boats (at least the River Empress according to Uniworlds website) do feature a laundrette. Also make a search on this board and search for "laundry". I remember this topic has been discussed before.

 

There are many reasons for not offering a laundry. One is the size of the boats where you have to save all space for the needed things. The other is that most of the cruises aren´t longer than 7 nights and you should be easily able to pack for that (sure many are doing a pre or post cruise stay or travel).

Not usually. But I noticed there was a self-service laudromat only a couple of blocks from where we docked in Regensberg.

Just returned last evening from a 9-night Amsterdam-to-Antwerp Tulips cruise aboard Uniworld's River Duchess. There were two new-and-well-serviced self-service washers/dryers aboard. Usage was free, but soap tabs were $2.50 for two wash loads. I think the other same-configuration Uniworld ships also have machines. Cheers!

Uniworld river ships have 'em.

Uniworld River Queen has free do-it-yourself laundry - and you can even do your ironing. Thirty minute wash and about 60 min dry. Put your name on the list if there's a wait - usually none. No worries!!
