ncjeff Posted April 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2006 I know the Casino is closed while in port. My question is do they consider Half Moon Cay a Port? I would hate to miss a perfectly good Casino Day while docked off some private piece of sand. Thanks in advance
welovetocruise1234 Posted April 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2006 Yes, they consider it a port. It is part of Nassau. No casinos open.

If we score then we take cabs to the Palace stations these are the ones that the Locals play. No Cruise to Vegas but after a mean beatting of 4 days and only some lint left in your wallet, its all fun. :D

kathy32259 Posted April 23, 2006 #10 Share Posted April 23, 2006 Hey Fred! We do the same - once a year in September we hit that town running! We stay downtown at the Golden Nugget - eat breakfast at 10 am then off we go! Next thing you know it is way past time for dinner! LOL! I have tried to convince my Vegas friends that a cruise is the BEST of both worlds. For now I go without them - but SOMEDAY!

Kathy, did you email me eariler? a Kathy did asking me about PVP, but I could not reply, pretty wierd, it kept bouncing back. When we go, we go to play, and youre right, since we sit down for hours playing some of the machines and they give you free drinks we forget and time does pass by quickly. By the way, we went to Barona indian casino here in San Diego just to eat and I played the Star Wars game just for fun, hit 160.00 and called it quits LOL, I always play the max and that was a bonus round :D Paid for our Brunch and Gas. YIPPY !!! Fred
kathy32259 Posted April 23, 2006 #13 Share Posted April 23, 2006 No Fred - it wasn't me who emailed you. But I did notice there seems to be ALOT of Kathys on this board. ;) Since I live in Florida the only slots I can get to are on a Casino boat - and they are awful. When I travel for business there are times I can get to Indiana or West Virginia for a couple of hours - so that is about it. By the time we all get to Vegas we go crazy with the machines - stay up most of the night - and don't let anyone get in our way or delay us! LOL We used to go to the Gold Coast - a lot of locals hang out there - but I have noticed lately it is not as good as it used to be. An what about Binions - now only the Horseshoe or something. Harrah's better fix that thing up. I made good friends with the Casino hostess on the Triumph and I can't wait to see her in two weeks! I emailed and told her I was coming BACK - she wrote me and asked for my booking and cabin number. I may be in luck! BTW - I Won $1,000. in Jan on the Wheel of Fortune! The ship slots have been good to me on every cruise!

Wendy and I has had the most luck on the Wheel of Fortune game on the Spirit, I mean to the point that we would just put 3 dollars in the machine and hit the Spin for 100.00 Fred
