Bars on Mariner of the Seas

Recommended Posts

I know I could find this if I wasn't too lazy to search but.....

What is the theme of the Dragon's Lair on the Mariner of the Seas.

Is the Wig and Gavel where the singalongs are? If not, where?

Thanks so much! Our time is drawing near (6/11/06)!!!

Well, it kinda looks like the lair of a dragon:D Sorry, couldn't resist! I did spend about 4 hours there one night, but I don't remember much of it....

The Wig & Gavel does have some great singalongs. Never spent much time there before, but our favorite bartender was working there our second week. Will definitely make this a regular stop on out next cruises.

The Dragon's Lair is a disco. Singalongs can be found at the Wig and Gavel or the Schooner Bar depending on the entertainers they have working. The Schooner is a piano bar the Wig and Gavel is usually a guitar player/singer.

RC brochures printed for last season (2005/2006) have deck by deck drawings of each ship. Try your TA, or any TA to see if they have leftovers. You can also print out deck plans on www.rccl.com

I think there are bars on decks 3,4,5,11,12 and 14. I counted 16-19, but I've heard as many as 23. Good luck.

Wig and Gavel was smoking.

Julien is the bartender, but no telling where he'll be then. They do two week stints in each bar. If you run into him, tell him Chris and Sharon say hello. We were lucky enough to do a back to back with him.

CruznTom,

Every bar I saw had a smoking section. The only exceptions were the Promenade Bar and the Plaza Bar in the Windjammer. I also assume the bar area in the theaters and Studio B were non-smoking.

Is that good news or bad news?
