tapia Posted April 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2006 Does anyone know what the differences are here? I know that Anan is a major difference, in that you can only go the 3rd week in July. I'm pretty sure it's "peak" then as well. Would anyone say Pack Creek the 1st week in July is the same as Anan the 3rd week in July? Are there other differences between the two weeks with things you can see? Is the weather a lot different? What about mosquitoes? Please help! I have to make a decision! Budget Queen Posted April 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2006 Since this question keeps coming up. I suggest you directly contact the venders and go with their recommendations. There is nothing you can do about the weather and no one can answer that question. With your priority for bears- get that information and go with your planning from there. http://www.wildlife.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=viewing.packcreek http://www.fs.fed.us/r10/tongass/recreation/wildlife_viewing/ananobservatory.shtml
tapia Posted April 25, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted April 25, 2006 Thank you. I will. I'm just rather nervous. I already tried to contact vendors, but haven't got a response yet. I hope I make the right decision. Do you have personal experiance w/Anan? How would you rate the 2?
Nancyquilts Posted April 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2006 The mosquitoes will probably be grateful at either time.
