QM2 - Ocean Liner, Cruise Liner or Both?

As we all know, the Queen Mary 2 is a unique ship which has features of a cruise liner and an ocean liner. So what would you classify it as? An ocean liner? A cruise liner? Or both?

 

This is just a little poll that I wanted to post. Your participation is appreciated.

She's designed to do both - but the job description of a liner means that when a conflict between a cruise ship & a liner came up - the liner won......

Well even though she does some cruising she really was built for the transatlantic crossings. So I'd have to say:

She is definitely an ocean liner. However no one told the staff and crew. The feeling aboard is totally one of being on a cruise ship.

Well I can cross but the finances suggest that staying over there or attempting to return may just be a problem.

Not having sailed on her, but having been on her, I'd say she was a liner.

 

A liner is built for line voyages. A cruise ship isn't.
