Anyone explain the Playa Carmen/Cozumel in one day thing?

The NCL Dream docks in Playa Del Carmen (calica), Mexico 8:00 am 9:00 pm

Cozumel, Mexico 10:30 am 6:00 pm on the same day. Can anyone explain that to me? Anyone done that?

The stop in Playa Del Carmen is just for pax debarking for shore excursions there . This is usually a tender. The ship then sails across to Cozumel where it stays for the day. The actual itinerary looks like:TuePlaya Del Carmen (Calica), Mexico

8:00am

9:00am

Cozumel, Mexico

10:30am

6:00pm

 

The ship does not sail back to Playa. Those pax that have been in Playa for the day need to take the ferry over to Cozumelto board the the ship prior to her departure time of 6pm
