Price drop question

When a price drop on a Cat K cabin is advertised, is that for all cabins in Cat K or just select. I have a cabin reserved for 3 people on the Granduer for June, and there was a price drop for that Cat, but when I called they said I wasn't eligible because I was in a triple. I was under the impression when you reserved a cabin if the Cat dropped you could request a refund. Any info on this is appreciated.

Don't take no for an answer just yet. It pays to be persistent.

 

I recently saw a balcony advertised on my sailing for less than I paid for my inside. I tried to get an upgrade to a balcony and to get the lower price. The very nice RCI agent told me that "unfortunately we are sold out of balconies" so I'd have to stay put at the higher price. I knew this was garbage since the websites for both RCI and expedia were showing it as available, even right down to the cabin number. Still the agent insisted they were not. So I hung up and called back, and spoke with Expedia, they called RCI for me and conferenced me in and... suprise, suprise I got my lower priced balcony.

 

Try again 2 hours later after having investigated the new price configuration for 3 by visiting their website. If it shows a lower price for the 3 of you if you booked that same cabin today then explain they should honor it. If not just be tenacious for a few minutes, see if they give.
