Port Canaveral to Cocoa Beach

I was looking through the excursions for Port Canaveral and saw one for Cocoa Village. Has anyone taken a cab to Cocoa Village ? I would like to know the approximate cost. They're charging $24.00 pp for the bus round trip and I thought a cab would be a better option. There are 2 of us. Thanks for any info.

What do you get for $24/pp? Just a ride? If you check with Mapquest, it's just under 12 miles but they route you thru Merritt Island, where I grew up. The taxi would keep going on the 528 then down to the village. I went there for a "field trip" in Jr High to the theater to see The Sound of Music. I remember it to be a quaint place then.

Another suggestion much closer to the port and something I do when I go back for high school class reunions, is take the intercoastal water taxis, similar to the ones in Fort Lauderdale. Here is a link http://www.islandboatlines.com/

Have fun planning and have a great cruise.

Teresa, Thanks for the info. For 24.00 you get a ride and a map. smeyer - The ship will there from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. We probably won't get off the ship until 8 a.m. the earliest so there isn't much time. We're really only interested in walking so the Village seems ideal for us.
