Sail With Me Posted April 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2006 Has anyone sailed the round trip itinerary on the Norwegian Coastal Trollfjord? Would love to hear your comments. Karen
Druke I Posted April 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2006 Well, we did not do the roundtrip - but did sail southbound, Kirkenes to Bergen, on Nordnorge, 7-00, and really enjoyed the trip. Ships very well appointed, and we thought comfortable. Food very Norwegian, but it is possible to order other items ala carte, at additional cost. Very pretty, and fjords there very different appearing than those in Alaska, or New Zealand. Having just seen the fjords in Chile (3-06), I would say that the Norwegian fjords most closely resemble the Chilean fjords, at least as far as vegetation (and stunted trees) goes. glgolfer Posted May 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2006 SWM - We did the 17 day Grand Norway last May with a round trip. Here's our review. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=189561
glgolfer Posted May 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2006 The Midnatsol is a sister to the Trollfjord. Very similiar ships.
